Freelance Engineering
2026
In 2026 I started providing freelance engineering services in NLS and Belcar.
Tasks include on track data analysis, rac eengineering, driver coaching, strategy and post-race data analysis reports.
Freelance Mechanic
2023 - 2025
After working as a full time racing mechanic for five years, I became a freelancer and worked in GT4, GT3, LMP3, NLS, and more.
With Motorsport 98, we won the LMP3 PRO-AM Championship in the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup.
With Haas RT we won the european round of the Creventic 24h Series in 2024.
With Xwift Racing Events we finished 4th in the overall standings in GT4 Challenge Europe in 2023.
Thesis LMP3 Suspension
As part of my Masters in Advanced Motorsport Engineering, I 3D scanned the suspension system of an LMP3 racecar, reverse-engienered it in CAD and simulated kinematics to observe and validate the motion ratio's of the dampers, anti roll bars and third elements.
A further analysis was made of how much effect thrird element engagement has on ride height and roll stiffness distribution with actual data.
CFD
In the muti physics simulation module of the Masters course, I got to learn how to use CFD and more precicesly Siemens Star CCM+
The effect of the top mounted exhausts, and therefore axhaust gas interaction with the rear wing element, were analysed and visualised.
A significant aero balance shift was found from closed throttle to wide open throttle.
3D Scanning
In 2026 I started providing 3D Scanning services.
The images are a few of the axemples, including:
- Scan of a motorbike airbox and frame to redesign a better flowing airbox.
- 3D scan of racecar suspension to design potentiometer brackets.
- 3D scan of racecar trunk space to mount an ATL Fuel cell.
- Many others not pictured.
Bentobox Design
A new Bentobox was designed and printed out of TPU, based on a 3D scan of the bike for an Ironman race in order to carry supplies efficiently, in a stylish and convenient way.
