Timeline
My motorsport history.
During my Bachelor's degree, I met people who introduced me to JJ Motorsport and graduated in 2019.
My first real working experience was as a volunteer for JJ Motorsport in Belcar and in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (VLN/NLS). We raced in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, 24 Hours of Zolder, Creventic 12 Hours of Spa, and others.
With this team, we started out by building six BMW E90 325i Clubsport race cars to coach and introduce CEOs to racing. This involved a combination of coaching in the sim and during track days to prepare them for their first race.
After a while, the team expanded their selection of cars to a Ligier JS2R, Praga R1T, BMW M2 CS, Radical SR1 & SR3 XX, Mazda MX-5 Cup and a Fun Cup.
The team competed in the BMW M2 CS cup Benelux with great succes, finishing the championship on the second spot .🏆
Other races included the 12h of spa, 24h of zolder and other Supercar challenge and Belcar races.
In 2023, the team entered the GT4 European Series with a Toyota GR Supra GT4, and took fourth in the championship with Etienne Cheli and Antoine Potty.
Halfway through 2023, I became a freelancer and worked with two team in different championships, namely Xwift Racing Events and Haas RT.
Xwift Racing Events:
GT4 Challenge Europe
I finished the championship with the team as a freelancer and we achieved 4th place in the overall championship standings with Etienne Cheli and Antoine Potty at the wheel.
Haas RT:
Creventic 24H Series
I started working with Haas RT halfway through 2023. They were a new, Belgian racing team competing with an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, which we used to win the European Championship of the 24H Series. We then went on to race in the Gulf 12 Hours, Abu Dhabi 6 Hours, and Dubai 24 Hours.
Part-time distance learning masters program for people that already worked in the industry.
I enrolled in the Master's programme at the same time that I started freelancing. This allowed me to combine study and work.
During my time in the BMW M2 CS Cup and GT4 European Series with Xwift Racing Events, I was exposed to some aspects of motorsport engineering that made me want to pursue an engineering career. I decided to work towards that goal, and the right education was the logical first step.
In the program I got my first in depth experience with advanced vehicle dynamics, data analysis, driver coaching, CFD, laptime simulation, team management and strategy.
In 2024, I spent most of my time with Haas RT in the Creventic 24H Series. We competed in the 24 Hours of Spa with two cars.
My role in the team was as a mechanic and I placed the wheels on the car during pitstops.
Motorsport 98: Michelin Le Mans Cup
We managed to win the overall LMP3 Pro-Am Championship 🏆 with Eric Dedoncker and Gillian Henrion at the wheel. For me personally this was a fantastic experience, working with very skilled mechanics from whom I learned a lot.
WRT:
GT world challenge, ICGT
I worked with WRT for a brief period of time in preparation for and during the 24 Hours of Spa on their #31 BMW M4 GT3 EVO with Dries Vanthoor, Sheldon van der Linde and Marco Wittmann at the wheel.
My end-of-study dissertation project simulated the suspension kinematics of a Ligier JS P325 LMP3 race car. The goal was to validate motion ratios and visualise when and how much the third elements were used during driving. The effect on roll stiffness distribution and on ride height was also studied.
By looking for a team with a JS P325 to 3D scan, I met Eric Dedoncker from Motorsport 98. They let me 3D scan their car and offered me a freelancing job as a mechanic for the rest of the season. This project resulted in an A+ grade of 84%.
In June 2025 I graduated from the MSc Advanced Motorsport Engineering with distinction.
Three years after I decided to pursue a career in motorsport engineering, I landed my first Freelance Data Engineering role with JJ Motorsport in the Nürburgring Endurance Championship with a BMW M240i and in Belcar with a BMW G20 330i.
In June of 2026 I started providing 3D scanning services.
